Vineyard Manager - David Haggmark

David Haggmark is a third generation vineyard farmer from the San Joaquin Valley.   David first started working in the vineyard in 1973 while working with his father.  His father taught him everything he knows about grapes as his father before him.  David & his wife Judy have raised four children, two of them are also in the wine industry. David worked the vineyards of the Central Valley for over 30 years before moving to Paso Robles in 2001. David's first wine industry job was working for Reserve Vineyard Management Company and where he was responsible for over 1,000 acres of wine grapes.

David came to work for Le Vigne Winery in 2007. Since taking over the Ranch David has strived to bring our vineyards up to the highest quality possible. Improvements include changing our trellis system from California Sprawl to Vertical Shoot Positioning, planting over 60 acres of new grapes, including such varietals as Grenache, Tannat & Petite Sirah.  David works closely with Wine Makers Jac Jacobs & Michael Barreto to bring new and exciting innovations to Le Vigne.  Projects such as our Amarone-style wines would not be possible if not for the joint efforts of this crucial part of our winemaking team.
